How to save a web page as a PDF — without the ads

With the free Save Any Page extension there are two ways. “Reader view” keeps only the article — no ads, menus or sidebars — and saves it as a tidy PDF. “Export full page” saves the page exactly as it looks, as an A4 PDF. Both run on your computer and need no account.
Step by step
- Open the article
Any page with text: news, blog posts, documentation, recipes, policies.
- Click the Save Any Page icon
The side panel opens next to the page.
- Choose “Reader view” → “Save as PDF”
A clean, print-ready version of the article opens in a new tab.
- In the print window, choose “Save as PDF”
Pick the destination “Save as PDF” and click Save. Text stays selectable and searchable.
Real result
Why do it this way
- Ads, cookie banners, menus and “related articles” are removed.
- Headings, lists, tables, quotes and images are kept in a readable layout.
- The PDF footer records the source address and the date you saved it.
- Prefer a pixel-perfect copy instead? Use “Export full page” for a PDF that looks exactly like the screen.

Questions
Can I save pages that need a login?
Yes. The extension works on the page you already have open, so anything you can see, you can save.
Will links still work in the PDF?
In the Reader view PDF, yes. In the full-page PDF the page is an image, so links are not clickable.
Is there a page limit?
No. Both PDF options are free and unlimited.
