How to convert a web page to a Word document

Short answer
Open the page, click the Save Any Page icon, choose “Reader view” and then “Download Word”. You get an editable .docx with the article’s headings, lists and tables — and none of the ads or menus. It opens in Microsoft Word, WPS, Google Docs, Pages and LibreOffice.
Step by step
- Open the article
Any page whose text you want to edit, quote or keep.
- Click the Save Any Page icon
The side panel opens.
- Choose “Reader view” → “Download Word”
A .docx file is created on your computer in a second.
- Or choose “Copy text” → “Copy with formatting”
Paste straight into an open Word document, an email or your notes. Headings and lists are kept.
